Practical Information About Copenhagen

Travelling is like almost normal to every person who loves to travel but the basic things tend to be forgotten which may result to rejected entry or embarrassment. This happens a lot to all travelers but through their mistakes they have learned from it and will not do it again but sometimes it does. There is no harm in reading ahead what a traveler should do when they get to the airport, right?

Getting by from and to the airport, you will need to get access to the metro which is at the end of the arrival hall which will take you to Nørreport or Kongens Nytorv in the city center of Copenhagen every four minutes. Journey to this place takes no less then fifteen minutes. Regular train can be found at the lower level of the airport arrival hall which will take you to the Copenhagen Central, Østerport or Nørreport in just fifteen minutes or less. Travelers will need a ticket for the 4 zones which will cost DKK 48. If you prefer to travel in this kind of transportation every day, it is recommended that you purchase the 24 hour pass for the 4 zones which costs about DKK 75. The tickets must be bought before you enter the train station or metro. From buses you can buy the tickets from the driver. The same ticket can be used for train, metro or bus as well. Taxis area available and will accept credit cards. Make sure you inform the driver about your mode of payment.

For cruise terminals, there are 3 of them which are the Freeport Terminal, Nordre Toldbod and Langelinie. The Bus 26 serve all the terminals from and to the Kongens Nytorv metro, Østerport Station train, City Hall Square and Copenhagen Central Station. Check the destination of the bus first before you embark on it. If it says Færgehavn Nord, the bus will take you to Freeport Terminal. If it is marked with Langelinjekaj, this bus will take you to Nordre Toldbod and Langelinje Quay. For this, you will be needing the two-zone ticket which will cost you DKK 24. The ticket must be bought beforehand prior to entering the metro or train station. Tickets can be bought from the bus driver as well and can be used on train, metro and bus transportation.

If you prefer walking, it takes fifteen minutes to walk to Nordhavn Station from the Freeport Terminal. The same can be done with to Østerport Station from Nordre Toldbod.
