KID’S TRAVEL SURVIVAL TIPS

Travelling, taking trips or spending holiday vacations are the most anticipated experiences no one wouldn’t like to miss. As much as possible, people will plan ahead thinking of ways on how to experience the most fun, enjoyable, romantic and adventurous places and activities in their chosen destination/s; making the most of every chance is the motto of travelling. They would much like to share these opportunity to their love ones rather than some strangers. But what if your greatest escape in life meets your greatest nightmare which are your children? Can you still handle it? Would you challenge yourself or cancel the whole trip or even bother plan for a trip? Would you stop yourself from being so deprived towards your kids and give in by surrendering your right to enjoy? Now don’t worry, whether you are their parent or guardian you will certainly have the almost perfect getaway with these terrific tips:

Be early. You don’t want to be left behind while getting your kids behaved while sending your luggage.

Bring toys. They are one of the best distractions. Just don’t bring the big ones more even the gigantic ones. Choose the light, small and their favorite pieces.

Plan simple entertaining activities. You may let them sit next to the window in a car, bus or airplane, see some magazines, read storybooks, draw, color, engage on simple physical games such as peek a boo, ticking games, etc. You may not do them all.

Don’t forget your device. Be it a portable DVD, tablet or phone for viewing. Download some children’s show clips and movies.

Have games and apps for kids. Download some fun easy children’s games and applications.

Stickers. You may use it for rewards in behaving well or doing the right thing while travelling. Make sure to let them stick on something you can clean right away or you can get a bottle.

Pillows. Surely, after all the little fun make them comfortable and sleep with travel or mini pillows.

Sweets. No children can’t have candies. Just make sure they are eating less.

Time consuming foods. Make sure it’s healthy like raisins and not the ones that can easily choke by children. Be on guard though.

Scare a bit. You may tell them off by the coming the officer or some imaginary friend but make it light.
Children ages 3 to 7 are very hard to control. They need both your attention and patience. You will most likely become the master multitasker at the end of the day. Bracing the predictable outcome will surely lessen your frustrations but would you let this kind of trouble be a hindrance to your enjoyment together when there are proven and tested solutions? You may sacrifice at first but when you get home and return to all your usual routines, you will realize how precious and rewarding your experience with your children was. Your bonding time with them cannot be exchanged with anything else. The children at present may not realize it yet but in the future, they will reminisce the times of those travels with you being reminded how much they are treasured and loved.
