Tbilisi sure will catch the attention of many artists. You can never be disappointed with the numerous museums around the city. Their museums display different sections of interest. In education of the craftwork and folk architecture of the regions in Georgia, go inside Open Air Museum of Ethnography. It’s always great to see antiques and artifacts in Museum of Georgia and Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts. It’s not just artists who flock to National Art Gallery. Experience walking in the halls with works like that of Davit Kakabadze, Lado Gudiashvili, and Elene Akhvlediani. These famous Georgian artists have given credit to the culture of Georgia.
It’s not just in the museums that you can find interesting things. Visit the Dry Bridge to find a flea market and be greeted with souvenirs you can take home. You may even bag some jewelry and paintings and things from the Soviet period.
You can’t go on a trip and not try the food. Plus you can never go wrong with Georgian food. It’s exciting to see that they keep it the traditional way. There won’t be much western food chains that will be seen around. Eating Georgian is loading up on cheese, walnuts, spices, and bread. What better way to pair with Georgian food but wine. Talk about eating healthy! That’s why Georgian families are making their own wine at home. This shows that Georgia is home for wine. That’s enough information to love being in Tbilisi.
Most importantly, the town would not be without the people. You can see that religion is very evident in Tbilisi. You can walk around and be greeted with warm smiles and helping hands. Though life is simple here, they also are joining in on the world with some advancements but maintaining the respect for their church and religious ways.
