If you are not picky with the kind of place that you prefer to cycle, there are a few that you can take your bike with and pedal yourself in these infrastructures that are perfect for your bike.
- Palisade, Colorado - in the Western Slope you will find the famous region for growing peaches and the emerging wine country where you can find the small town Palisade which hosts the Fruit and Wine Byway. The 25 mile long loop which is set of the 11,000 feet Grand Mesa and its iconic cliffs of sandstone locally known as Book Cliffs which guides the cyclists and motorist through the scenic roads of the backcountry to over fifty fruit stands, farms, orchards and vineyards. Shorter routes are also available for bikers that want only little time for cycling and spend more time with wine tasting.
- Santa Fe, New Mexico - not only is the place a haven for writers and artists but also a good place to do a bit of biking. This place is located at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains at the height of 7000 feet, its vibrant town provides an equal part for urban life and outdoor adventure. In the year 2012, Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization developed detailed maps of the bikeways of the area. - Travelers Rest, South Carolina - this place was recently added to the list of cycling destinations. The previous year, George Hincapie who retired from his competition from Tour de France lives near Greenville where he opened up Hotel Domestique at the top of the hillside that is draped with vineyards. It is a European style hotel complete with an Olympic size pool, gourmet restaurant, fitness studio and also an area that caters mostly to cyclist that are keen in biking through the winding road of the grand Blue Ridge Mountains.
