WORLD’S MOST VISITED COUNTRY IN 2015

“The world is like a book and if haven’t traveled most of the places, you have only read a page.” Our world is such a big place to explore that you need to plan carefully before visiting such famous places. Tourism has played a major role in the economics of many countries. Thanks to World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the total number of international tourist arrival has increased from 674 million to 68% in 2015. China, Turkey, and Russia still hold the same positions while European countries like France, Spain, and Italy, still remain in the lead.

Let’s look at our list of top 10 countries most visited last 2015.

In tenth place we have both Mexico and Thailand. Thailand is best for its crystal blue beaches, great food, thick jungle, cheap beachfront bungalows, and some of the best luxury hotels in the world right for the budget. Mexico on the other hand is best for secluded sand beaches, great golf getaway, Mexican cuisine, vibrant markets, and trendy galleries with upscale shops.

The Russian Federation comes in ninth place. You have Moscow, internationally acclaimed of its museums and art galleries with retail havens in the form of malls, markets and boutique style shops and hundreds of restaurants, cafes serving a wide variety of cuisine. Also St. Petersburg, Pskov and Pechory, Vladimir, and Karelia known of its beautiful region of hills, lakes, forest, rivers, and steppes.

United Kingdom still in eighth place is known for its accents changing noticeably every 25 miles. Its top tourist spot is the Stonehenge, next is Big Ben, and then comes the Windsor Castle, York Minster, Durham Cathedral, the Cotswold’s, Tower of London, Lake District, Warwick Castle, and Hadrian’s Wall as the last spot.

Germany comes in seventh place. The country itself is famous for its very own German beer that has many nutrients such as protein, B vitamins, phosphorus, magnesium, selenium, iron, niacin, and riboflavin. Most travel Germany during its Oktoberfest, one of the most famous festivals in the world.

People visit Turkey because of Kebab, baklava, rugs/textiles that they are known for, hookah pipes, fez, mosques, Turkish delight, figs, the sea and many more to mention that you need to see and experience for yourself.

Italy on the other hand is unique. Their class, culture, champions and cheese perfectly describes the spellbind blend of the old and new age endeavors delivered by this place. Its enchanting vineyards, Italian charm, Calcio “sports”, the Fantasy Land – Venice, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Ferrari, Lamborghini, enchanting art and culture and its Pasta delight.

Still in fourth position is China, the second largest and fastest growing economy of the world. Tourists who visit China won’t miss the Li River or Lijiang which flows from Zhujiang Pier to Yangzhou. Then they’re off to The Great Wall of China which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World the only one that can be seen even if you’re in the moon.

Spain remains in third place where it is famous for its Bullfighting or Corrida De Toros wherein 3 matadors fight a bull to death. When you’re done, have a load of Tapas or appetizers to fill your appetite. Afterwards you can watch the Flamenco and wonder at its beauty made alive in dancing.

United States of America continues to stand strong in second place, as it is very much famous for the Grand Canyon, New York City, Hollywood, and Las Vegas—the city that never sleeps.

Nevertheless, the undefeated of them all is France, which held 83 million tourists for this year alone. France, still remain as the global leader in dynamic tourism. Its destinations such as Paris with the Eifel Tower, the Côte d’Azur and Mont-Saint-Michel showcase the richness and diversity of what France has to offer.
