Flying, during peak seasons like holidays, are proven to be much of a hassle. But there are ways in which you can improve your airport experience and avoid the nightmare of a situation that most of your colleagues talk about whenever they come back after a holiday vacation. Just follow the simple steps below in order to have the hassle-free holiday vacation that you have always wanted.

  1. Before the flight, make sure that you had sufficient rest and eat a small meal before you take-off. To prevent dehydration you also need to keep on drinking fluids like water or juice.
  2. Make sure to leave early because there are still a lot of procedures to undergo like checking-in and going through the security line. If you are there early, it would make sure that you won’t miss your flight. Pressure will add to your stress and it is not a good way to start a vacation
  3. Make sure that you have a valid ID with you wherever you go. Examples of valid ID are the following: driver’s license, state ID’s and passport.
  4. Make sure that you have properly tagged your carry-on bags and luggage. The owner’s name, contact number and address should always be visible.
  5. If you have valuables like cash, cards, jewelry, important documents and business papers, make sure that you take them with you at all times. Also bring medicine on board, just in case.

  7. Packing hazardous materials like lighters, matches and flammable substances can cause your delay. Make sure that you don’t have any of these in your luggage.

  4. When you are a chauffeur for visiting friends or family, you can pick them up at the departure area and drop them off the baggage claim area. This trick will help you through the traffic.
