Tivoli will really suck you in. Even if amusement parks were built for entertaining children, Tivoli is also a place for the adults who love to play. This amusement park is located only a few minute walk from the City Hall and is nearby the Copenhagen Central Station which is very easy to get into. When Tivoli has reached the year 2014, its wooden roller coaster ride has turned 100 years, transforming it to its original look. The new design of the roller coaster consist of 2 mountain tops in which the largest measures up to 26 meters above the gardens. There will also be an artificial waterfall that has a total drop of more than 20 meters on the side of the roller coaster. The artificial waterfall will give every rider the feeling of travelling through the mountains. Reconstruction of the roller coaster contributes to the ongoing development of the amusement park which will enhance every guest's experience.
Tivoli Gardens maybe packed with beautiful attractions for the little kids but there are also the wildest rides you can imagine which may drive a sane adult crazy. Try out the Vertigo if you wish to become a pilot of a jet plane for a few minutes or take a good 360 panoramic view of the city through The Star Flyer, if you have the guts to look. The Vertigo is the wildest and fastest ride in the amusement park. Other wild rides include The Demon and the Golden Tower while the little rides fun for the kids include the Veteran, The Little Aviator and The Flying Trunk.
There is always live music every day and each day features different genre. The gardens have 3 outdoor scenes that has a lot of live music both international and Danish artists. Every Friday in the summer season, Friday Rock takes place at the lawn. In the year 2012 Tivoli introduced to the public Tivoli Music Week which is dedicated to different genre. This program continues this year and the next.
Filled with tradition, Tivoli promises its guests what it is like to be a in a fairytale land. The amusement park offers Tivoli Illuminations in which it transforms Tivoli Lake into a fantastical, dream-like universe which consist of fire, water, light and smoke. This program can be experienced every day in the summer season at 10:45 in the evening in Tivoli Lake. It is also highly recommended for visitors to enter Tivoli Gardens during autumn and Christmas seasons.
