You will often hear some people say that a good traveler is the one that loves to dive into adventures and learn from experience then shares their experience to the world. You will also hear others saying the opposite but one thing in common with both the good and bad traveler is that they prepare the most basic things before they depart. This is because they are essential for everyday living and without them, it will be hard to continue on the trip.

- A small wheelie bag which is lightweight and durable that you can glide it anywhere you go and that does not trip easily. If you do not have one, check out your local stores that exclusively sells travel bags such as these. If you have a four wheel bag then that is a better option since they rarely topple over but the downside of this option is that you walk slower carrying this and will likely walk off on its own when you are standing in line waiting for your turn, especially at the airport.
- Small digital camera - You see a number of travelers carrying a huge bag with them wherever they go and when they open it, voila! You see a large DSLR camera. If you are fond of taking pictures at its finest quality, go ahead and bring this along but if you just want some memories of the place then by all means just bring the smallest digital camera you can get. Slim shaped ones are a better choice.
- Duct tape - this option is likely something you never have thought of, right? What's the use of the duct tape? You use this when packing whole rolls so when you encounter such a situation, get at least two feet strip of it and then wrap around marker or pencil and place it in your bag. You will find its use once you see something at your destination.
- Passport copy - probably a copy is not something the immigration office will accept but in the event that you lose the original copy, you can expedite a new one. Scanned copy is fine as well.
- Ziploc bags to carry toiletries, gels, liquids and others when passing through security.
