The Budget Traveler

A lot of us are frustrated travelers. Many of us include traveling around the world in our bucket lists. However, only a few are endowed with the financial capacity to afford to turn such luxurious dream into reality. But, good news! This is a thing of the past. Today, there a are a lot of ways to tweak your wallet without compromising the experience of a life time.

  • Fly Low

Well, not literally of course. This only means that you should regularly keep an eye for airfare promos or discounts. There are actually times when different airlines cut down on fares or compete on giving discounts to passengers for marketing. Not only could this, by constantly checking on different airlines, you are giving yourself the opportunity to compare an airline to another so that you will be able to buy the cheapest ticket you find that comes with a safe and comfortable flight.

  • Off Season Travel

If it is possible for you to do so, it is better to travel not on peak seasons. Some may not be aware of this, but prices usually hike when it is the peak season of the place, such as Holidays. This is of course driven by the principle of demand and supply. Another advantage of traveling during off seasons is that you won’t get as much competition in tourist spots and diners as compared to the full-packed scenario during peak seasons. Not only will you be accommodated faster but you would also get the chance to capture scenes perfectly without pressure of others waiting on you or without “photobombers” in the background.

  • B&B Style

Come to think of it, you travel for the primary purpose of discovering the place. You did not cross another country, state, or time zone to sulk in bed, watch TV or sleep in the confines of an expensive hotel. Just as long as you find an accommodation that offers a decent place to rest after an exhausting but fulfilling day, then that will do. No need for five star hotels. What you need is a five star experience, I tell you.

  • Keeping in Touch Online

Communication is a vital component of our survival when we are in an unfamiliar territory. However, spending on telecommunication services may cost us bucks. It is best therefore to take advantage of what technology has to offer. We could always keep in touch with friends and family not only during our journey, to give updates or ask for help whenever the need arises, using the internet which is widely used nowadays.

  • Walk if You Can

Some tourist destinations are just a few blocks away from each other. So, you can save a few coins by walking the distance. Not only that, you would also have the chance to stop by beautiful places that you do not know existed, while you are walking on your way to the next destination. This budget tip does not only save you money but is also beneficial to your health.
