- Ras Abrouq (Bir Zekreet) - It is located at the very tip of a peninsula northeast of Dukhan. It is the favorite spot for weekend campers. - Al Wakra Family Beach – it appears to be a private facility because it is difficult to locate. It is situated in the hidden south of Al Wakra. In spite of being off the main track, residents of Al Wakra flock there on weekends with their families to grill, smoke sheesha and socialize. The sand near the water is ploughed and kept clean, which softens the sand making it ideal for building sand castles.
