If you do not mind driving, then you will definitely enjoy the Great Ocean Road which you will be able to find in Victoria. There is no doubt that it is one of the most scenic drives around the world. The official length of the place is 243 kilometers but you will most likely spend a whole day here because of the narrow roads. But it will be worth it because of the ocean and cliffs you will see along the way and the road ends in a rain forest. If you get tired of driving along the way, there are plenty of beaches to choose from for a stop over and maybe a quick dip in the water. There are many hikes and other attractions as well to enjoy along the way.
Another place to see is the Daintree Rainforest which is in the Northern Part of Queensland. It is known as Australia's biggest rainforest. You will be able to find 30% of the reptiles in Australia here. There are many frog and marsupial species as well. You will be able to find bats and butterflies here and you will see 20% of the native bird species of Australia inhabits the place. So what can you do in the rainforest aside from seeing the many animals it has? You can go on crocodile boat tours, mangrove adventure tours and find out more about the local history.
Enjoy the underwater scene at The Great Barrier Reef which is located in Queensland. Like the Opera House, the Great Barrier Reef is something people think of about Australia. It is around 2,300 kilometers long and it is considered as home to a lot or endangered, rare and unique plant and animal species. One of the recommended areas of the Reef to visit is the Whitsunday Islands. But then again, anywhere in the Great Barrier Reef is actually a great diving and snorkeling place that you are sure to enjoy!
