United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization create a program to classify and preserve sites of exceptional performance whether it is cultural or natural to the common heritage of humanity. There are even several related UNESCO programs that promotes the same advocacy. UNESCO World Heritage list is like an expedition. It involves active participation of humankind. The rule is to share their story of their choice of World Heritage Site. The project is believed to continue indefinitely since new sites are added every year. The journey never ends in learning. In the different parts of the world, there will be places that will always leave a mark. There will be certain spots in a place that will be a part of history unless it will be left unsaid. In making a site be a part of the Heritage list does not require extravagant reasons. It will always be easy to remember simple yet unforgettable sites. There are always places in the world that will keep us in awe. This is the main goal of UNESCO – to let the world see what should not be wasted. A few of these sites have been preserved and has been known all over the world. Some have not been seen by so many people. As large as the world is, the larger is the scope of beautiful natural and man-made sites that needs proper care to be preserved. We will all be proud to show these to the next generation.
