If you can remember President Obama shortly before his inauguration, you would probably know what I am talking about. He eats smoke but only half of it. This one of its kind food is a mystery until know. Who knows the recipe of a “half-smoke?” Food enthusiast and chefs from all over the world is keen and curious to what is this iconic food really composed of. They have juggled and theories and arguments. Whether it is half beef or half pork or, sliced half and whatsoever. They never knew.

This made a group of taste buds guru to find out the secret of “half-smoke.” The journey started in a small chain of butcher shops. A group of friends were really curios. Everybody wants to know what Washington DC is all about. And the only way to resolve the mystery is to start the investigation. Ben’s Chili Bowl is the first restaurant to start the craze. This is where President Obama came in. But the jaunt did not start there. They started at Red Apron’s. The taste was so good that they made an illusion that it was the real half-smoke. It was not. So they moved to another place at Churchkey in Logan Circle. The half-smoke this time had no chili. It left them again with a doubt of what half-smoke really is. It was finally time to try another one and so they did. They made their way in with ease and comfort. This was like a slow motion experience because finally, you get a taste of where half-smoke originated in the new era. The pals have tried a bite and their taste buds prefer a more complex one. So the last part of their trip brought them to DCity Smokehouse. To their shock, half-smoke at this place is one of the best ones. No wonder it is call a smokehouse. Of course! Smokers are welcome even by half. A ride of tasting and comparing has set off when half-smoke explained itself.

“Half-smoke” remains a mystery box in the master chef kitchen. Nobody knows the real recipe. Nobody knows how it is really done. It is by far the simplest yet the most incomprehensible food in the market. A bun, a sausage and whatever preference you want to add. You can try it out at your own risk. Half-smoke” after all is a food craze everybody wants to try never knowing it is all around them. You can find it anywhere in the world, you can even see people selling it in train stations or by the sidewalk.
