- Lapland – we were told by our parents since we were a child that Santa Claus lives in the North Pole, which is particularly located in Lapland. Since then, this place is flocked by many tourists especially children who wishes to see Santa Claus in person. Of course, that is just a part of what you will discover in Lapland. It is also best to be visited during winter season when lakes are frozen and the pine trees are covered with snow. It would be a perfect time for skiing, snowboarding or even just sightseeing on the reindeers in the city.
- Rauma – it is one of the World Heritage Site for being the oldest and the fifth largest ports in Finland. This is a great place for tourist to tour around and see it architectural designs and the different heritage it has.
- Koli National Park – it is located in the eastern part of Finland and is famous for its stunning landscapes and is rich in vegetations. It also has high and lowland meadows as well as the vast green forests. This is the best place for nature lovers to wander and explore.
- Sauna – All apartments in Finland has their own sauna because Finns love sauna. Old apartments have their own large common sauna for groups located at the basement and as for the locals who owns new apartment, they have their own private sauna built though it’s not that spacious but it’s okay cause there’s no need sharing with other groups. So if you travel to Finland don’t miss trying one of their sauna, perhaps the “smoke sauna” you’ll surely love it with your friends.
- Activities – we all know that Finland is one of the country that have four seasons, and winter season is one of it, if you plan to visit the during the cold season, Snowmobiles are very common to this place and also never miss doing Dog sledding and reindeer sledding in the place, the best place to do is at Saariselka or in Muonio. Kids will surely enjoy these activities despite the cold weather. And if you are not into that activity, you can just play with snowball fight with your family.
