Hiroshima will always be remembered as the place for that terrible incident that happened on the 6th day of August, year 1945, when it was made the first location for dropping the atomic bomb. Peace Memorial Park is a good reminder to all people, both locals and expats about the most traffic day of Japanese history. These days, the city itself is a tourist hub from people all over the world. Despite its depressing past, the citizens have already recovered from the nuclear blast and are currently thriving into one bustling city.

Peace Park – While this is one of the reasons why most tourist visit Hiroshima, those that visit the city without knowing its past will likely stumble upon this place as it holds the most prominent features of Hiroshima. Measuring about 120,000 square meters, it has lawns, trees and walking parts that are in direct contrast to the downtown area.

Added to their headquarters is their very own coastal land that houses development and research laboratories, shipping facilities and factories. A part of the factory plus their own museum is viewable for the public to see. Like Nagoya and Toyota, Mazda also has a large contribution to the local city's economy.

Shukkeien Garden – Translated into English and you get Shukkeien to literally mean shrunken scenery. The literal meaning also directly described how this garden really looks like. The forests, mountains and valleys are depicted in miniature style in the landscapes of this place. The whole garden has been maintained quite beautifully through careful cultivation and vegetation.

Hiroshima Castle – Also known as the Carp Castle, this architecture is considered a good example of a castle that is built upon a plain right at the center of the city, instead of building it at the mountaintop or hillsides. The main keep is 5 stories tall and the ground is circulated with moat.
