Pune is also known as the “New India” and the second largest city in Maharashtra and one of the most populated cities in India. Pune also offers wide range of destinations for tourists and locals, among of these are its historical and cultural sites as well as its beautiful wonders.
- Tribal Museum – this museum exhibits the different traditions and culture of the tribal communities in Pune. If you want to know the city’s history and its tribal communities, this place is right for you as you will discover each tribe’s different languages, culture, food, beliefs, habits and more.
- Shaniwar Wada – this was considered a royal residence before. Its magnificent foundations are made from handful of mud. As of today, what you will see in this place is only its outer walls that still show the place glory. The glorious power of the place is still seen on its ruins. Shaniwar Wada was built in 1732 and it was devastated by the fire in 1828. There is a show of sounds and light in the evening but only ten persons can watch the show, it happens in 8:30 pm (English time).
- Aga Khan Palace or the Gandhi National Memorial – this place is where the famous Gandhi clan is imprisoned namely, Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi and more prominent and powerful men. This palace is known for its magnificent and spectacular architectural designs. This is one of the most visited places by tourists because of its unique beauty that captivates anyone who looks at it. This place was built in 1892 by the famous Sultan Aga Khan III.
- Bund Garden – a perfect way to end your day is a stroll along this garden which is next beside to the river. You can also do some boating while watching the beautiful sceneries that surround the place.
- Osho International Meditation Resort – the place where you can find your soul, the capital for meditation is in Osho Auditorium. Reminder, do not sneeze or cough because the ashes of the guru’s are kept in the entire place and it’s open for meditation. There is also a show at night with cinemas and parties. Cameras or taking pictures is not allowed.
