Choosing To Stay At Motels

Recently there has been nothing good being publicized about motels. If you do, either you have seen it from thriller or suspense movies that focuses on murders or horror and eventually make people think that motels are not a good place to stay for a trip or during a travel. Aside from that, there are often complaints coming from previous guests about how unclean motels are, sometimes an odor that makes you think of death and oftentimes ridden with pest and the safety of the guests are being questioned as well. Motels are even the center for meth labs and other illegal drug activities happening in various parts of the world that has made travelers think twice about whether they should book into a motel or not. Even if these incidents are true, it does not create the general image of the conditions of motels these days. You must have seen motels being featured in Hollywood movies in which urban legends are not even true, and cannot even outweigh the benefits of staying in one.

Motels are the cheaper version of hotels and is easily accessible at times when there is a need to stop from a very long ride and you that you will need to wake up early in the morning after to continue your journey. Motels is a short term for motorist hotel in which travelers can stay and park their car in front of the room they are going to be staying. It does not have all the amenities offered by hotels but has generally the bed to sleep in and if there are any baths around, they are usually outside and not within the room. Motels are a perfect choice for budget travelers who finds checking in at hotels for only a night is too expensive.

They are also a good place to say if you prefer to have peace and quiet and have fewer people around. Hotels are always busy, even at night because they cater to the demands of the guests no matter what time it is. The guests that are checked in motels are fewer so they are given a more personalized service. While you will never be able to find those expensive things that you see at hotels and all those fancy stuff, most of the motels have a tea maker, coffee maker and a refrigerator which is free to use during your stay.
