Business Travel: Time-saving Tips

Here are some tips for business travelers on how to save time. This will guarantee that you will have more time on your business than on travelling.

  1. Always have a Packed Bag. Always have a packed bag at hand. Even if you don’t have the exact schedule of when you will be travelling again, it pays to be prepared and packing ahead will save a lot of precious time. This is really helpful especially when your flight leaves during unreasonable time like early in the morning or so late in the evening.
  2. Regional Airports. Flying from smaller airports will save your time and is more hassle-free than when you are flying from a big airport. Security, traffic, the check-in process and parking is a lot easier in smaller airports.
  3. Go for direct flights. Your travel agents may suggest an itinerary that has the cheapest but longest flights. Always make sure that you do your research first beforehand so that you can also suggest the details of your itinerary.  Direct flights will help you save on meal and hotel expenses.
  4. Always check in online. This step will only work if you have a carry-on bag with you and not a luggage. This will help you save time than checking in at the airport.
  5. Choose your seat. Always request for a front seat from your travel agent. Or pick a seat somewhere near the door so that you can exit immediately and you don’t need to wait for other passengers to get out first.
  6. Sign yourself up for a security pass. This gives passengers the authority to bypass lengthy security lines and will help you save a lot of time. This is done through the use of a Clear security pass.
  7. Constant Flier Programs. These programs can give you the access to security lines that are shorter or faster.
  8. Update your GPS. Always make sure that your GPS device is always updated. When you go to a new place, make sure that you program your GPS in such a way that you will be able to see all the navigational data that you need.
  9. Park Smart. A lot of time will be wasted especially when you are parking. If there are monthly passes, make sure that you would sign-up for them. This is to avoid long waiting lines of vehicles that want to park.
