Beautiful Beaches In France

There are many definitions of what makes a beach great; it could be a rugged coastline, unspoilt scenery or a bustling seafront town with promenades and exotic retail stores that attracts us. But one thing is for sure France has many beautiful beaches that can visit. Here is some of it.

  • La Buale - Often referred to as "Europe's finest beach", La Baule boasts an impressive nine kilometer-long stretch of sandy coastline that sees visitors from all over the world walk along its inviting shores. If you enjoy unspoilt natural scenery while walking in France, then this should be your beach destination of choice. Even during the busy summer season, this vast coastline has plenty of space to accommodate anyone looking to enjoy themselves outdoors.
  • Grande Plage - Ile d'Oleron - As the name suggests, this is a big stretch of beach. La Grande Plage is a 12km stretch of surfing beach backed by the forest and dunes, and is said to be one of the most beautiful in Europe.
  • 1 Cote Sauvage - It's hard to classify this as 'a' beach, as this is a 30km stretch of pine forest and dune-backed sandy beach on the Arvert Peninsula. Super surfing, and great for families. Even in peak season, it is hard for this beach to feel crowded.
  • French Riviera - French Riviera is another destination where you can just set for sunbathing, sipping cocktails while the Mediterranean ocean laps at the sand. This beach is situated in the southern part of France. Another main attraction of French Riviera is Cannes which is known for its film festival. Cannes has large number of
high rise hotels due to its popularity. Main beach is Plage de la Croiette, a sandy beach but privatized. Plage du Midi is a public beach if you don't want to spend entry fees on former beach.
  • Espiguette is unique beach in southern France because like others it does not offer bars, restaurants, tourist shops, and hotels. This beach offers large tracts of sand dunes and grasses to get to the Mediterranean ocean. Located near Port Camargue, Espiguette gives you chance to see pink Flamingos away from any signs of civilization.

Breath taking beaches are all over France, including some of the finest in the world so it's worth taking the time during your holiday to explore the local vicinity of your destination. After all, you never know what fantastic beaches you may stumble across
