The pueblos that are situated along the main roads between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Visiting the pueblos is to follow some of the restrictions and tips such as having a permission first when it comes to taking pictures on the sites but there are some sites that photography is not allowed most especially with the tribe members without asking permission if you don’t like your cameras and gadgets be confiscated.
Pueblos are considered home to the people living in there so tourists must show some respect of privacy to their properties to avoid damage and casualties, never enter any house without any invitation from the home owners, and is also discouraged to stay near the ceremonial rooms, kivas and cemeteries. Like any other villages, the pueblo is has a diverse community which English is not only the main spoken language, some may not be fluently pronounced, it is you, the visitors must be the one to adjust yourselves to be flexible, not to suffer the language barrier and have a better understanding of one another. The language issues may be experienced once you deal with the community almost far away from the service centers, reacting with the specific manner may be a great help, your gestures for response and the patience in understanding your dialogue would make them feel comfortable to talk and deal with you. Also be aware of some gestures that for you is usual, like pointing them with your extended fingers might be an insult for some, nodding and tipping is a kind gesture you may always consider to do so.
