5 Reasons Why Kayak is the Best Site to Book Flights

Are you planning for a much awaited destination wedding or making an itinerary of your next backpacking trip? Well, if you are having quite a bit of a challenge booking for flights, then you must have been living under a rock if you have not heard of Kayak.com.   The company’s motto? “Search & done”. Anyways, for the unfamiliar, this is one of the go-to websites for booking flights and I’ve got here five reasons why.

It uncomplicates the complicated. Kayak has grown in massive proportions in the past years or so & it is now available in more or less twenty languages. Founded more than a decade ago by Steve Hafner along with Paul M. English, the Priceline Group acquired Kayak two years ago. A lot of people book on this site for both leisure and business. Why? It’s because they can assist air travelers in their search for complicated air travel itineraries, making the less complicated, like searching for connecting flights, travelling on red eyes and whatnot. And if you are not so picky with destination & time, the better are your chances at booking a great deal.

It’s an all in one travel site. Well this part is not really unique for Kayak because there are a lot of all in one travel booking sites on the internet. Kayak is one of the go- to websites considered to be a single destination site for airline tickets, booking hotels, renting cars and in fact, you can look and book a whole vacation package with them. How do they do this? They actually dig deep through a lot of websites for airlines, hotels, car rentals, etc. It may even give you results for rock bottom prices. Another reason is their Kayak Explore tool where there is a world map that you get to scan. Once you scan a certain area, it gives you information such as ticket price range, preferred flight times, vacation activities and even the weather.

The price predictor is another great reason why we start with kayak first. It will definitely help you and your travel buddies whether to buy the ticket or bite the bullet by just wait for ticket prices to drop. Once you type in your desired itinerary, the Kayak website will give you a list of itinerary options & some advice either to buy the ticket now or will you wait for the ticket price to drop. However, this tool is not entirely fool proof & omniscient. It has its setbacks. It is not applicable to all areas and options are only limited to coach or economy & round trip flights. The fifth reason is the sliders located at the side of the website. These sliders allow for more options like downgrading or upgrading your flight, etc.

There you have it. All the reason why you should start with Kayak. It may not be a perfect travel website but I have not really seen any perfect travel website just yet so I am making the most out of their options here.
